This comprehensive course provides nurses and allied healthcare professionals with the knowledge and clinical skills required to assess, stage, prevent, and manage pressure injuries (also known as pressure ulcers or decubitus ulcers). It addresses the anatomical, physiological, and pathophysiological foundations of skin integrity; evidence-based interventions; wound-healing principles; interdisciplinary collaboration; patient and family education; and legal and ethical implications in clinical practice. Learners will gain an in-depth understanding of staging classifications (I–IV), risk assessment tools, documentation standards, and appropriate interventions to promote healing and prevent recurrence.
