關於

Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a significant cardiovascular condition that occurs when a blood clot forms within the deep venous system, most commonly in the lower extremities. This course provides nurses with a comprehensive and clinically relevant understanding of DVT, emphasizing its pathophysiology, assessment, prevention, and evidence-based management. Because DVT can rapidly progress to life-threatening complications such as pulmonary embolism, prompt recognition and skilled nursing intervention are essential elements of safe practice. The content prepares nurses to respond confidently in diverse settings, including acute care, long-term care, rehabilitation, and home health environments. The course is structured to reinforce critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration as nurses navigate the complexities of venous thromboembolism (VTE) care. Emphasis is placed on identifying high-risk patient populations, evaluating clinical manifestations, performing accurate assessments, and implementing evidence-based preventive measures such as early mobilization, anticoagulation therapy, and mechanical prophylaxis. Nurses will also explore the nuances of diagnostic testing, including D-dimer interpretation, duplex ultrasonography, and imaging considerations in special populations. Learners will gain a detailed understanding of pharmacologic therapies, including anticoagulants, thrombolytics, and adjunct medications, along with the nursing implications that ensure safe and effective treatment. Cultural considerations, communication strategies, and patient-centered education are woven throughout the content to support holistic care that aligns with diverse patient needs. Ethical and legal issues related to anticoagulation, fall risk, treatment refusal, and risk disclosure are also addressed to safeguard professional accountability.
